Redbox is a big red box with movies inside. You’ve probably seen one in your local store or maybe you are already a RedBox user.
Basically, for $1.00 a day you can rent movies out of this big fancy box. If you play your cards right you can actually rent lots of movies for free out of this big fancy box.
A guaranteed free movie is offered when you sign up for alerts via email or text. Jeannie over at Musings from Left Field tells me when you sign up your cell phone for these alerts they will send you codes for free rentals every Monday and Wednesday this month. I don’t see that on the website but I’ll take her word for it.
Another blog to keep your eye on when looking for free Redbox codes is 1GR8Mommy. She seems to always have a code for a free movie popping up in my reader.
We don’t use Redbox, not because I don’t think free and $1 movies are fabulous it’s just that I can’t be trusted to return the movie the next day. It would probably end up costing me $10 to see a movie.
We use Blockbuster’s online service. We pay $3.99 a month which gives us a limit of only two movies per month but that’s plenty for us.
We have had Batman Begins sitting on the table for over a week and still haven’t watched it. This could be because I’d rather eat glass we just haven’t had time to watch this masterpiece. But for whatever reason it takes us so long to watch movies, no late fees is key for our movie rental success.
Either way, check out that big RedBox next time you see it and don’t forget your free codes!
