A few weeks ago I posted about the Jack In The Box taste tester opportunities in San Diego and last week I was chosen as one of the participants.
If you haven’t signed up yet, you can do that here. Someone from Jack In The Box will be in contact if you are a fit for one of the events (I was contacted via email).
The experience was really quite a pleasure. I waited with several other people in a room and then was taken to the testing area. You are given your own individual booth, whatever food they want you to try and a computer to give your opinions.
When you are done you collect a little cash at the door. 45 minutes of my time and free lunch, totally worth it and actually kind of a neat experience. I hope I get the chance to do it again!

Tomorrow (February 23rd, 2010) is an excellent day to score some free food! It’s National Pancake Day at IHOP and Free Grilled Sandwich Day at Jack In The Box.
Visit your neighborhood IHOP anytime between 7am and 10pm to get a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes. Click here to find a location near you. There are 19 IHOPs in the San Diego area.
No other purchase is required however they ask that you consider making a donation to support local children’s hospitals through Children’s Miracle Network.
After the pancakes have settled, hop over to Jack In The Box to try one of their new Grilled Sandwich’s. You do need to purchase a large drink to take advantage of this offer.
Large drinks are around $2 in San Diego so that’s still a pretty good deal for both a sandwich and a drink.
….. and you’re full. No cooking necessary.
