    Kraft Invites

    Friday, September 19th, 2008

As you may know, Kraft occasionally gives me the opportunity to send ten people a free coupon or sample. I always randomly pick ten people who have left comments on my blog and send them an invite.

Here are the ten people who should check their email box for a free sample of Nabisco 100 calorie snack bars : Cathy W, Lela, Tom, Ginger, Beth, Another Beth, Jenn, Brent, Kristine, and Liz.

As always, thanks for visiting my blog!

    Did You Know?

    Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

My mom is so funny. Today she learned how to put a site into her bookmarks. Granted, I’ve shown her about 700 times but today, all on her own, she bookmarked a site. I’m so proud of her.

One thing my mother definitely knows how to do is forward emails and today she was on a forwarding spree. I thought some of these were interesting…

    Did you know?

    1. If you peel a banana from the bottom and you won’t have to pick the little ’stringy things’ off of it.

    2. You should take your bananas apart when you get home from the store. If you leave them connected at the stem, they ripen faster.

    3. If you store your opened chunks of cheese in aluminum foil it will stay fresh much longer and not mold.

    4. Peppers with 3 bumps on the bottom are sweeter and better for eating. Peppers with 4 bumps on the bottom are firmer and better for cooking.

    5. If you add a teaspoon of water when frying ground beef it will help pull the grease away from the meat while cooking.

    6. If you add garlic immediately to a recipe it will give you a light taste of garlic. Add at the end of the recipe for a stronger taste of garlic.

    7. If you whip a store bought container of frosting in your mixer for a few minutes it will double it in size.

    8. You can use a wet cotton ball or Q-tip to pick up the small shards of glass you can’t see easily.

    9. Placing a dryer sheet in your pocket will keep the mosquitoes away.

    10. To keep squirrels from eating your plants, you should sprinkle your plants with cayenne pepper.

    11. By pinning a small safety pin to the seam of your slip, dress, or slacks you can avoid static cling.

    12. Chalkboard erasers work better than a cloth to clear up foggy windows.

    13. If you seal an envelope and then realize you forgot to include something inside, just place your sealed envelope in the freezer for an hour or two. Viola! It unseals easily.

    14. To get rid of pesky fruit flies, take a small glass, fill it 1/2′ with Apple Cider Vinegar and 2 drops of dish washing liquid; mix well. You will find those flies drawn to the cup and gone forever!

    15. To get rid of ants, put small piles of cornmeal where you see them.

    RENT!

    Thursday, August 21st, 2008

I am a huge RENT fan. I’ve seen the show once in New York and three times when it came to San Diego.

True RENT fans would certainly tell me four times is pretty lame but unfortunately those are the only opportunities I’ve had to experience it.

I was totally bummed when I found out the show was ending. I was hoping I would be in New York at least one more time before it was over.

The touring production is coming to San Diego again in March 2009 so I’ll definitely be there.

So anyway, I was ultra excited to find out today that they are filming the last performance and releasing in it in select theaters at the end of September.
