Frugal Juice

A little tip for juice drinkers.
We drink a lot of juice in our house. I don’t know that the health benefits of juice (at least store bought juices) are all that great but sometimes water just gets boring.
Juice of course like everything else is expensive (especially now that my dear husband has decided $4.99 Plum Smart is his favorite juice). To cut down costs try diluting it with water. I usually do half and half, just a little flavor is all I need but my husband does 3/4 juice and the rest water.
Try adding a little water at a time. Each time you have juice, add a little more water. Soon your taste buds will be just as happy with the diluted juice.
You’ll save money, calories, and as a bonus, your tooth enamel with thank you. ![]()
Have you ever tried those little packets you pour into the water bottles itself? I know gatorade and a few other companies make them and they’re relatively cheap.
I did a similar thing with milk. I grew up drinking whole milk but when I wanted to lose weight I knew I should drink skim milk. I thought it was going to be a battle switching, but in the end it turned out to be pretty easy and quick.
