About
If I see a penny, I pick it up. Tails up, heads up it’s a penny.. and I’ll take it. If I see a dime, well I announce it, I found a dime! My husband generally looks at me, rolls his eyes and then throws me a bone “good job baby”. A quarter? Hell, it’s a party.
I watch every dollar but still enjoy the now. I sometimes spend frivolously, I don’t go without, and I make sure to do things to make my now happy even if that means wasting some money. However, I always keep in the back of my mind the then. So, I save, I find ways to make extra money, I save that and if I find a penny, well I’m thrilled and I save that.
I am a sample whore. The internet is full of free stuff just ready for me to have and use. I take full advantage of it and really enjoy finding new freebies. I’ve been doing it for awhile and can usually smell a scam or spam trap from a mile.
I sometimes enter sweepstakes online. I’ve won some cool things but this hobby comes and goes for me. It can become time consuming and not worth the trouble.
Coupons are my friend. My local grocery store (Ralphs & Vons) doubles coupons up to $1.00 so I don’t mind spending the extra time looking at the ads and cutting coupons to prepare for my visit. I am usually able to cut my bill by half or more. It’s a good feeling to walk out of the store knowing that I’ve saved money.
I am a CVS junkie. CVS is everyones friend apparently because since I started talking about my deals, the amount of people that get here by searching for CVS deals is insane. Everyone loves CVS!
I read personal finance blogs like crazy. I love to hear how others save money, ideas on how to invest money, make money and keep money.
This blog started out as just a way for me to share freebies I found with my mother. I noticed the amount of people that were viewing the site so I expanded it with good deals and ways to make a little extra money and whatever else I find that might help you save some cash. It has also turned into simply a random thought, living frugal, and very light version personal finance blog.
I hope you enjoy your time here and maybe find something useful … If you do, I would love for you to leave me a comment or email me.
