I was browsing around Big Lots today and found these 62oz jars of natural applesauce for only $2.80 each! Nice! I usually pay that much for a small jar so I picked up two!
I almost always use applesauce in place of oil when making desserts and since we eat a lot of desserts, we go through a lot of applesauce. 
All Big Lots stores have different items so this may not be available at your store. Either way, I’m always able to find some sort of deal I can’t live without.

I just found this tip on fixing squeaky wood floors in the October Woman’s Day magazine and thought I’d pass it along. Let me know if you’ve tried this!
Find the offending board and sprinkle a small amount of baby powder. With a dust brush, sweep the powder into the surrounding cracks making sure to use enough so it goes deep down into the crevices. Repeat until the creaking stops!
