Last week I went to see the La Jolla Playhouse page to stage production of John Leguizamo : Diary of a Mandman. Tickets ended up selling out so I was really glad I didn’t miss it!
Although I loved To Wong Foo, the first time I really took notice of John Leguizamo was in 1998 when I watched Freak on HBO. I must have watched that performance twenty times or more.
John Leguizamo has this amazing way to to tell a story in a way that makes you really just feel. Diary of a Madman was no different. He of course was hilarious but also inspiring. I left the theater ready to take on the world.
The San Diego shows are over and I didn’t see any upcoming performances on his website but if you get a chance to see one of his shows, I definitely recommend it.
