I won tickets to see the opening night performance of Legally Blonde : The Musical at the Civic Theater. I love a musical so was thrilled to get the email that I’d won.
When the show first started I was thinking “ehh.. I’m not sure I’m going to enjoy this” but about 15 minutes in, it picked up and became really fun.
It’s exactly what you would expect from Legally Blonde.. It’s funny, cute, very pink and an all around pleasure to watch. My husband even enjoyed it.
Everyone in the show was amazing but D.B. Bonds who played Emmett, Natalie Joy Johnson who played Paulette and Ven Daniel who played Kyle the UPS guy were my favorites.
There was also a brunette who played one of Elle’s sorority sisters throughout the production that I thought was incredible. I wish I could remember her characters name but at one point she has a very short solo and her voice was absolutely AMAZING.

Legally Blonde : The Musical will have shows everyday through April 4, 2010 at the Civic Theater downtown. Information on purchasing tickets can be found here.
