UPDATE : This deal may no longer be working. I received an email from a reader in Texas stating that the oatmeal’s did generate a gift card. To check before you go to the register, scan one of these at the self-scanners.. it should indicate on the screen if it will generate a gift card at checkout.

This week Target has a Quaker Oatmeal deal where if you buy five selected products you get a $5.00 gift card.
Golden Brown Sugar Express Singles are marked at $1.12 each and qualify for this deal (at my store there was even a sign in front of them).
Buy five for $5.60 and get a $5.00 gift card back! To make the deal a money maker, add $1.00 off one coupons from here and here (firefox/safari link)
I bought 10 oatmeal singles and had two $1.00 coupons so my total came to $9.20. I received two $5.00 gift cards for a profit of .80! What a deal! Of course the more $1 coupons you have the sweeter the deal.
I can confirm this deal works in the San Diego area… other regions may slightly vary in price (I’ve heard they are $1.02 other places). I purchased mine at the Target on Sports Arena but you should try another store because I bought all but three

I only printed 2 coupons because I really didn’t think any would be in stock.. I was shocked when I saw them. I was thinking about going to Mission Valley to see if they had any as well but I probably won’t make a special trip just for oatmeal.. What Targets did you go to?
