So how exactly does this work out with the coupon? Would I pay for 1 and get 2 free?

Travis :

Vons has them Buy one get one free so if you use a BOGO coupon. The one you are buying gets canceled out with the coupon.. so you would pay for zero and get 2 free.

Vons will be reimbursed by the company for the one you “bought” with the coupon.. so in the end.. they still get paid for one tub.. just like if you didn’t have the coupon.

:)

…. This is completely legit to do … neither Vons or the company that puts out the coupon is losing out… With that being said.. cashiers are not always familiar with their own stores coupon rules…

I went yesterday and the manager was running a register. she did my coupon and ran it through with no issues.. I walked away with 2 for free. When I went today to the same store.. the cashier said I couldn’t use it because it was already buy one get one free but I could buy 4 and use the coupon which made no sense and would technically give me 3 free when I buy one.. but I just let it go and didn’t buy any..

So anyway.. when doing deals like this you’ve always got to be ready to be told no… although it’s completely legit and allowed by VONS (or any other store that takes coupons) sometimes your cashier won’t know this and think your trying to scam them in some way..

Many people will fight, call a manager, etc… I rarely want something that bad so just say forget it and don’t buy whatever it is.. there is always another deal … but if you did throw a fit, you would be in the right :)
