This a a supplement to my June 6 review. In regards to Alice.com, my experience was still a very positive one. For those who utilize Alice.com as their source for Robbie's Natural products, please be aware that more than just the label has been changed.

What’s in a name? Apparently, not much as far as integrity and quality is concerned. I have purchased Robbie's Natural products for well over a decade. When the corporation was sold in 2009, a representative from the company which acquired it, made it clear to me that the formulas would not change, only the label. It seems this was a misrepresentation or they have had second thoughts. Their condiments, such as their barbecue sauce, once the finest such product on the market in my view, has been compromised. Along with its superior taste, its virtue was in being one of the only such sauces to be sweetened only with fruit juice. Now the company controlling the manufacturing and distribution of Robbie's Natural, has decided to adulterate the product using inferior fructose and honey where simple fruit juice used to be. Other Robbie’s Naturals products have had refined sugar added to their recipes.

I fully understand that companies must attempt to remain competitive, especially during the current economic climate. Trying to achieve such cost cutting by offering a second-rate product, while believing a loyal customer base can be retained is sheer fallacy.

I only wished I had known of their flimflam artistry prior to purchasing $20.00 worth of their products. I noticed the company’s website has been off-line for quite some time and their Facebook page has not been recently updated. Perhaps it is a sign along with an age-old business example of cause and effect. In this particular case, the buyer as well as the seller should beware.

I just had my first order from Alice.com delivered today. It consisted mainly of hard to find items from Robbie's Naturals. The prices were about what I would pay at any natural foods store (if they actually carried the items). The free shipping is great and when one factors in the gasoline used by going to and fro, it's definitely a savings. The order was delivered promptly, everything was packed well and the complete order was delivered.

A word of caution. During the hotter months of the year be careful ordering any products which could be effected by the heat, either during the shipping or the storage process.

Also, I was under the impression that first time Alice customers aren't required to order a minimum of six items during their initial order. The site required I do so, nevertheless. My online total price was correct but when I received the order, I noticed Alice had given me those additional two items at no charge. This was a savings of $5.00 on a $25.00 order. I am delighted but a bit confused about the reason for the credit. I am aware of a $10.00 credit when spending $50.00 or more.

Will I order from Alice.com again? You bet I will. I just wish they had a greater variety of natural, organic and health food items.

Marie : I agree that you can get many things cheaper at the store by combining sales and coupons... but as far as an online store, I think they far out do any other store available.

When I started using Alice.. I didn't have a car so it was so convenient and definitely worth the little bit extra for me. I have a car now so don't use the service as much.. but still highly recommend them for people who don't have the time, etc to do real sale/coupon shopping..

Thanks for stopping by the blog :)

I heard how "great" Alice.com was and signed up so I could take advantage of the "amazing" savings! There are very few things on their site that I would buy, and I found the prices on everything to be higher than what I buy at the store. And while they have "coupons" that seems to be their way of putting things on sale. Where when I go to my local store I buy the stuff on sale, then sometimes have a coupon to add on to that.

I did buy 1 thing - and found out the minimum order is 6. But they processed it anyway since I was new. It did come quick and well packed...

Allison ~ oh that stinks! One of my orders was to heavy and many things were smashed... I actually had the opposite experience with customer service.. they immediately sent me out a whole new order with everything that was damaged and even the ones that were not..

I ordered twice and will never order again. They claimed it would be here within 2-3 business days and I got it 9 days later. I emailed customer service twice and never got a response. Will never order again.
