Seriously? Again?

in Random

Would you believe me if I told you I was an idiot? Don’t answer that. If you’ve been around for awhile you may remember less then a year ago I changed hosts. During that transition I lost the entire blog.

I started over from scratch. I bought a fancy new theme and off I went. Everything has been going pretty good if I do say so myself. Until about 6:31 pm on Friday that is.

Like the good little organizer I am, I decided I would “clean up” a little bit behind the scenes. I noticed a sub-domain with wordpress still set up that I wasn’t using. Let me clean that up real quick! Delete! Of course I didn’t notice the one I was actually clicking was this one, not the sub-domain.

In an instant, my heart stopped and then flew out of my chest. I raced over to the blog and oh lord it was gone. Gone. All of it. Back! Back! Back! I thought if I kept pressing back it would magically appear. Well, I was back alright but not quite what I was hoping for.

Bright side? I made myself a nifty little banner for my new blog. It’s cute, eh? Next stop? I’m making a blog! I’m sure I will be able to find some archives on Google so some of the old content will be here but for now… Welcome to the new My Good Cents! Again. Seriously.

By now you’ve probably seen the Pizza Hut advertisements for the new Tuscani Lasagna. For $14.99 you get three pounds of lasagna and five breadsticks.

Pizza Hut!

Even though we have a perfectly good mom and pop pizza place about two blocks from our house we still order online from Pizza Hut most of the time. It’s no secret that I like a deal and by signing up for Pizza Hut emails, I receive coupons for all the new tasty menu items.

The latest coupon was $5.00 off the new Tuscani lasagna. $9.99 for three pounds of lasagna that I don’t have to cook? I’m all over it.

Now, I was expecting it to be pretty good but not amazing. I just wasn’t convinced that they could pull off a quality lasagna. But I gotta tell you, this stuff is pretty great.

It came to our house smelling and looking delicious. We wasted no time breaking out the dinner plates and eating utensils to dig in. The noodles surprised me the most, they were cooked perfectly.

Yum!

It was really the perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and meat. I couldn’t have asked for a better dinner. I’m sure we will order this again soon, even if we have to pay the full $14.99 price.

Have you tried the Tuscani lasagna yet? What did you think?

Everywhere you turn now there is a new product with probiotics, you know the thing that’s going to give us all amazing digestive health. Attune Wellness Bars claims to be packed with 5 times the beneficial probiotics found in yogurt and according to their website many of their products are gluten-free and some are even vegan.

A few months ago I was at the grocery store and ran across a box of 7 Mint Chocolate Attune bars marked down to $1.25. I checked the expiration date (end of February) and like any orange sticker shopper would do, threw them in my cart joyfully.

Attune Mint Chocolate

I must admit these sat in my fridge for awhile. I would look at them but just couldn’t bring myself to eat one. You know that feeling when you just know something is going to be awful and even though it says chocolate your pretty sure it’s not going to taste like chocolate? Well that’s how I felt, so I avoided them at all costs.

Fast forward to the beginning of the month… I notice that these bars are slowly disappearing and ask the husband “are you eating the crap bars” (yea, we act about 12 years old around here)? He tells me he is and they are a “pretty acceptable treat”.

Now my husband will eat just about anything and I’m convinced he doesn’t have taste buds so it’s really not something I can take his word on. I figured I better eat one before they were all gone, so I did.

Everyone has experienced the greatness that is the Girl Scout Thin Mint cookie, right? Well, that’s what the Mint Chocolate Attune bars taste like. I tell you no lie, I couldn’t believe it, they are absolutely delicious! My digestive and immune system are going to be out of this world because I plan to eat them religiously (for my health of course).

The Attune bars come in several other flavors besides Mint Chocolate. They have Chocolate Crisp, Dark Chocolate, Blueberry Vanilla, Strawberry Bliss, Wild Berry, Lemon Crème, and Mango Peach.

Feel The Difference!

If you haven’t tried them yet, this is the perfect time. Attune Foods is offering up the 14 Day Challenge to consumers. Eat one Attune bar everyday for 14 days, if you don’t see a difference they will refund your money (up to $28). This offer expires June 30th, 2009.

Have you tried Attune bars? Which flavor and what did you think?
