Archive.org
October 5th, 2008 by mygoodcentsBefore bed last night I was reading a message bored I frequent and saw a post about Archive.org. The site allows you to type in a web address and see what it looked like back in the day.
I ended up staying up for hours looking at random sites I’ve had over the years, including my very first blog in 2001.
Although most images were broken in the archives, I was able to retrieve about sixty photos that I thought were gone forever. I feel really lucky to have these again.
It was so cool to be able to go back and remember the things I wrote about or in some cases not remember writing them at all. If you have any lost websites from the past, I highly suggest looking them up. You won’t be sorry.
Let me know if you find anything good!

I miss your writing.
You still look young and cute.
You did have major design skills (you made me plenty..my favorite being the Ani Difranco that the song lyrics showed when you scrolled over).
And, yeah. I don’t want to remember anything I wrote in the past, lol. But thanks anyways.

I know what you mean. I browsed through the site just a couple days ago. One of my site was deleted by hackers and they were gone forever as I didn’t have a backup copy.
The images are actually stored at archive.org. I was very nostalgic when I first saw it.
